Trains Northern
Seattleâ € ™ s King Street Station is a landmark in Amtrak System.IO Completed in 1906, served as the passenger train stations for the Great Northern and Northern Pacific Railways in Seattle. As Seattle Amtrak € ™ s current station, is still a challenging place to begin or end a trip train.
Here are five tips / suggestions to make your visit to Seattle, King Street Station pleasant
One: A Look you're going to wait at the station, bring your picnic lunch or snacks with You There is no restaurant or snack bar in station. Alternatively, arrive early and eat in one of the restaurants near Pioneer Square, as Tully € ™ s Cafe on 2nd Avenue South, King Street Bar and Oven (American and Italian food) and in Asia Ginger Teriyaki also on 2nd Avenue South.
Two: If you check your luggage, you will be able to explore the historic station. You will notice that is remodeled to bring it back to its original luster. If you walk out you will see the stationa € ™ s 242 feet clock tower that was inspired by the Piazza de San Marcoâ € ™ s bell tower in Venice, Italy.   When you return via the main entrance, you walk around the room Compass, which is the basis of See tower. watch his marble compass star floor. As envisaged in the restoration continues, other features of historic Seattleâ € ™ s train station to return to life.
Three: About the front door, there is only one entrance for the public to Seattleâ € ™ s King Street Station. It lies at the foot of the king Street. You do not want to be dropped off on Jackson Street from the station because there is no input from there at the moment.
Four:  donâ € ™ t be fooled by Hertz website. € ™ s not a car rental counter for each company in Via Re Station. Most national brands such as Avis and Enterprise will pick you up at the door opposite the train station or reimburse taxi fare. addition, you should check Fox Rent A Car located at Sea-Tac Airport. may participate if they are not busy. Given their low rate, may be useful to the cab ride to the airport location.   Also, are open when many other offices of downtown Seattle rental cars are closed.
Five:  If you have time, give € ™ t miss sampling Seattle Pioneer Squareâ € ™ s shops and services. There are 18 art galleries and antique shops within 4 blocks of King Street Station. You can get soap and order products for personal care in Seattle Soap company store on Jackson Street. Or you might want to visit Ebbets Field Factory Outlets in South Main Street, where you can buy vintage inspired sports-themed clothing.

Nevada Northern Railway (Paperback) $36.86 The Nevada Northern Railway is the sole survivor from a grand era when railroads served mines throughout the state.
