Every time you move to another country or are planning to rent a car, it is important to understand the local regulations of driving. In Norway, all cars must drive with lights on day and night, even if it is extremely bright. A hire car, in theory, should be left hand drive, but if driving a car on the right with Right Hand drive is a legal requirement to attach a black triangle so the other riders are aware of your situation. It is also worth asking the car rental company for a number of bulbs replacement headlights as the transport of these at all times is highly recommended.
Like most of Europe the use of seat belts is compulsory in Norway. If traveling with children is worth taking advantage of the services company car hire child seats, like all children under four must be securely fastened with a seat. Younger children, as children should have the provision appropriate child seats.
There's a lot of regulation to do with the tires, in all honesty, should be respected by the car rental companies. Norway has a policy in the summer and winter tires with different tread depths for each season. 1.6 millimeters is the minimum in summer, while in winter, this increases to 3 mm.
In winter, the tires must be the case if they are equipped with or without studs. Studded tires are allowed during the months of November and April, while in the colder north, this period is extended from October to May. Studded tires and chains do however carry a premium, when you travel in some centers the city because of pollution and the cost of road maintenance.

If you follow this advice there is no reason why your driving holiday in Norway, will not be a complete success. The regulations are a bit 'different due to the harsh climate of the country, but one advantage of European legislation means that it is easier to make the transition from one country to another. Remember these points you will be able to concentrate on more important aspects of your trip, enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds you at every turn.
