Mexico Lumber

Petrified Forest National Park is world famous for its impressive collection of colorful borne quartz petrified wood, but this park is certainly much more simple petrified wood, is an international center of learning for paleontologists in the world.
The Petrified Forest sits proudly in the drylands of Arizona's Painted Desert, but the dry rugged badlands that you see today, there is here, in the Triassic Period 225 million years ago.

What would have been in Arizona during the Triassic Period sat much closer to the equator, the climate is tropical and coniferous forests of gigantic trees that had to be turned to stone for centuries to come proudly standing surrounded by rivers of mass, a very warm and humid completely different to today. The main inhabitants of the area were amphibians and reptiles, none more impressive the dreaded Phytosauria, a creature with the appearance of a crocodile that could be hunting a prey to the ground as well as in water, the park has many remnants of Phytosauria try these beasts would grow by nearly 30 feet in length. Many different varieties of fish bone and the presence of freshwater sharks would only have added many of the dangers watercourses.

Based on the evidence of fossil discoveries it was believed for a while 'time that dinosaurs began to appear towards the end of the period Triassic, between 200 and 225 million years ago. Dinosaurs can be broadly divided into two groups, and Ornithiscians saurischians.

Early Ornithiscians was thought to have developed in animals, such as heavy armor plated Stegosaurus Jurassic period and the duck-billed dinosaurs of the Cretaceous era. Saurischians the other hand had to evolve Sauropodomorphs in the long neck nibbling the tops of giant trees and the two legs theropods, meat-eating killing machines, such as Tyrannosaurus rex.

Back to a time more familiar in 1930 and again in 1989 to Revuelto Creek, New Mexico and some teeth have been discovered a new species of dinosaur has been unveiled and named Callender Revueltosaurus, The problem was how single tooth was found, no one had any clue about what the dinosaur would be similar, only it was from the Triassic and the shape of the teeth, possibly an ancestor Ornithiscian a plant eater. E 'was the Petrified Forest National Park, who came to the rescue in May 2004 and again in June 2005, two skeletons were fossils found in the park complete with teeth, and those discoveries were doing the paleontologist sit and scratch his head, because my teeth looked like those of plant eating Ornithiscians has naturally assumed were from a dinosaur, however Revueltosaurus not a dinosaur at all, but an ancestor of the crocodile.

What makes this discovery, it cast doubt all other identities of the dinosaurs identified by their teeth and brings in question Ornithiscians theropods and do not evolve together as a paleontologist and Triassic age believed, as she has discovered Petrified Forest National Park is not only petrified trees and logs, this is an information portal for the dawn of the dinosaurs, a base knowledge of the fascinating history of the earth and must visit the beautiful Painted Desert, Arizona.
