Gas prices have reached record levels, gasoline prices in the United States is heading for $ 4 a gallon, while the United Kingdom are looking at £ 1.20 liter
This has caused motorists to seek ever more ways to save gas and reduce gas bills as possible.
The International Energy Agency forecasts of energy for 2008 has projected world oil demand to grow by 1.7 million barrels per day compared to 0.9 million bpd in 2007.
Refineries in the world are working day and night 24 / 7 to meet the ever increasing demand of an average of 83.5 million barrels a day.
However, global demand oil expected to reach 87.5 million b / d in 2008, which is a record.
The demand for oil worldwide is driving up gas prices to levels record in developing countries like China have increased their crude oil imports year on year by over 12%, and the trend continues.
While our supplies of oil are declining, experts are now suggesting many of the major oil fields in countries all over the world like Saudi Arabia, Nigeria and North Sea have reached their peak.

The import bill of oil for the United States has skyrocketed 300% since 2002 and the import bill for oil in 2007 was $ 327 billion and could reach 400 billion U.S. dollars in 2008.
Well, simply put the demand for crude oil today is far greater than supply. This can only mean one thing for motorists like you and me, the price of gas at the pump is going up. The days of filling the tank for $ 10 is gone, and reduce motoring costs we must save gas as we will never see $ 30 – $ 40 oil prices once again and we can not do something about it.
What can we do and fact, what we should do is learn new ways, techniques and changes so that we can reduce our consumption of gas and in so doing save as much as possible on Our gas bill.
The changes include driving less, car pooling, the proportion of cycling or using public transportation when possible, even switching of hybrids or smaller cars with better gas mileage.
Telecommuting is becoming fashionable, as more and more people seek to reduce their costs transport.
We are forced to change our driving habits to save gas. Most people are amazed to find out how much gas you save with a yes, going slower on the highway.
Driving faster than you can get where you want to go in less time, but it also means more trips for the pump station.
Now we instinctively keep their eyes open for gas prices low, but if we are not careful, we fall into the trap of wasting gas driving to a distant station to save a few cents.
Even losing has become more expensive because the waste gas as well as time. We are all forced to plan our route so you know exactly where we are.
Keeping up on vehicle maintenance will be of extreme importance as mechanical wear parts and used tires fuel increase dramatically.
Also to reduce the weight you carry in a vehicle mileage and better means more savings.

So begins today, to find every possible way to start reducing fuel consumption and saving as much as possible to the pump, as prices oil is increasing and, inevitably, gas prices too.
The thing is, even if oil prices will retrace a bit 'and get off, does not mean that the gas prices too. I never knew the gas prices go down after they are gone is it true?

Stephen A. Bourque and John W. Burdan III served in the 1st Infantry–Bourque in Division Headquarters, Burdan as the Operations Officer of the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry. Based on extensive interviews and primary sources, Bourque and Burdan provide the most in-depth coverage to date of a battalion-level unit in the 1991 war, showing how the unit deployed, went into combat, and adapted to changing circumstances. The authors describe how the officers and men moved from the routine of cold war training to leading the Big Red One in battle through the Iraqi defenses and against the Iraqi Republican Guard. The 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry participated in the 1st Brigade attack on G-Day, the large tank battle for Objective Norfolk, the cutting of Basra Road, and the capture of Safwan Airfield, the site where General H. Norman Schwartzkopf conducted cease-fire negotiations with the Iraqis. The squadron’s activities are placed squarely within the context of both division and corps activities, which illustrates the fog of war, the chain of command, and the uncertainty of information affecting command decisions. The Road to Safwan challenges the myth that technology won the 1991 Persian Gulf War. Contrary to popular view, it was a soldier’s war not much different from previous conflicts in its general nature. What was different was the quality and intensity of the unit’s training, which resulted, repeatedly, in successful engagements and objectives secured. It is the story of the people, not the machines, which ultimately led this squadron to the small town of Safwan. |

Globalization and the Gulf $45.6 For centuries, the Arabian Gulf has been a crossroads where seafaring people and Bedouins alike traveled great distances transacting business. Events of the past few years, both good and bad, have directed the world’s attention to the Arabian Peninsula, where a rich cultural tradition is rapidly incorporating the latest innovations from around the world. This is the process of globalization. New economies create enormous potential, but it will require great care for the people of the region to steer through a period of profound change. Political and economic interests intent on maintaining the flow of petroleum products on one hand, and people in the Gulf region who assess their won interests from quite a different perspective, on the other, exert pressures from conflicting directions. Reconciling these interests in a time of rapid globalization poses enormous challenges. This timely volume, "Globalization and the Gulf" brings together the work of scholars from both the Middle East and the West who have the expertise to evaluate the interaction of new ideas, new technologies and new economies. Brought together by the American University of Sharjah and the Sociological Association of the UAE, the contributors reflect on both the process of globalism and on the traditions of Gulf society and culture, and they offer views on how these trends interact within the global system. |

Gulf County $18.52 Carved out of Calhoun County on June 6, 1925, Gulf County is one of Floridas youngest counties. The county seat, Port St. Joe, was founded in 1913, and construction of the St. Joe Paper Companys plant in 1937 revitalized the area. The popular fishing site Wewahitchka was the county seat until voters elected to relocate it to Port St. Joe in 1964. Until recently, Port St. Joe was a typical company town, anchored by the paper mill headquarters. The town is near St. Joseph, where Floridas first constitution was drafted in 1838, and which was later destroyed by yellow fever and hurricane surge. Today Gulf County is a thriving, growing area of industrial and recreational resources with nostalgic reminders of a glorious past and a promising future. Port St. Joe and Wewahitchka remain away from the hustle and bustle of large cities. |
