Car was parked in the driveway and had not been driven for 8 hours. When the fire was detected car engine compartment was fully involved in fire and was a total loss. Model 2004-5
The 2004-2005 models were not involved in the deactivation Cruise recall due to a different style of switches used. It would take a fire investigator to determine what might cause the fire, how many things can happen and could be the next legal action for your loss
