One of the victims were unaware of the current foreclosure crisis are tenants of apartments at risk of becoming foreclosure homes for sale. But now, hundreds of tenants in Union City, New Jersey who live in apartments at risk of foreclosures can get help through a month long initiative of the county.

The initiative aims to give tenants a place to run to the information about their housing situation. The Union County Board of landowners has designated the entire month of October as "Union County tenants of the month." Union County officials are planning to join representatives of the state and common warning tenants foreclosed on the apartments their rights.

Industry experts have expressed hope that the initiative would help the county ease the plight of tenants. In the town of Plainfield, a real estate company handles up to 500 foreclosed homes or failure. Many homes in foreclosure for sale include some of the larger apartments in the city, between in Brook Green Village, Watchung Gardens and city and country.

In December last year, the landlords established the Union County Foreclosure Task Force "As part of its effort to alleviate the effects of the mortgage crisis and to feed the support or the recovery and stability of neighborhoods in the county.

Meetings are held twice a month, the participation of state officials, municipal and provincial agencies and representatives of various foreclosure counseling, housing advocates and legal services. The meetings are directed towards finding ways to stabilize and strengthen neighborhoods and help residents stay in their homes.

Initially The Task Force focused on helping homeowners in distress at risk of foreclosures. But officials learned that the effects of foreclosures have spread to the tenants. The experts said that the tenants have been at the center of the foreclosure problem, with some of them have been evicted illegally.

Experts hope designation may provide information to renters about where you could go to seek help from their housing situation. The initiative involves offering tenants information by phone and website. In addition, officials are urging tenants to participate in the "lease 101" workshop to be held on October 29.

The workshop is organized jointly by the Central Jersey legal services and the coalition of Elizabeth House the homeless. Experts are encouraging tenants to know their rights protect themselves from the effects of foreclosure of homes for sale.
