St. Patrick's Day in Savannah, Georgia. What should I expect?

I live in the heart of Georgia and for me, my boy, and the couple of our friends can take three hours to drive this Saturday in Savannah for St. Patrick's Day in Savannah Georgia is well known for its St. Patty's Day bash, but have never was a first (I was in Savannah, not just for St. Patty's). Anyone else ever been? What should I expect? What should I wear (besides something green, of course)? And I know that you can not get into any club, if you're under 21 so me and one of our friends are 20, will be a problem? Or is it just a big party on River Street? All that can tell me will really help! LOL, I knew there would be people drunk, y'all. This is a fact. Thanks for the comparison of Mardi Gras. Also if they've never been to that either do not know yet what it is all about.

Savannah ROCKS! Be sure to bring some warm clothes as the temperature can dip in '60 low or mid 50s. Tee long sleeve, fleece vests, and an accountant are ideal for keeping warm, if you want to party all night. Bring your own alcohol and drink before entering. There is a cover charge – I think $ 10 or so to enter River Street and you get wristbanded that most checkpoints to keep under-agers to drink. But you can drink before, because usually you can walk to the gate with a drink and then throw away when you go to pay for coverage. The police are tolerant of everything but bottles, cans, obvious intoxication, yarfing, and any type of behavior out loud or violence. You can walk around most of the city with a drink as long as in a non-see-through plastic cup. Sure to have some Chatham Artillery Punch and there is a beer joint or in or near Huey's best selling beer at low cost and low cost mixed drinks. Central of Georgia Railway $21.38 Organized in 1833 by Savannah businessmen, the Central of Georgia Railway was chartered by the Georgia Legislature as the Central Rail Road & Canal Company. The line, connecting Savannah to the interior of the state, boosted the coastal city’s seaport, which had lost business to Charleston because of the South Carolina Rail Road’s inland reach. In 1843, the Central was extended from Savannah to the outskirts of Macon, and after nearly 120 years of successful operation, the Central of Georgia Railway was purchased by Southern Railway.
