The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (Ajaccio) voted for the new 2008 Honda Accord sedan as the â € € œBest Dear New Family in the Car 26 Ajac Canada's annual contest of the year. E 'in recognition of Hondaâ € ™ s effort to bring the exceptional quality of design, engineering and production for the model. Thus, the Honda Accord is likely to compete with other models of qualifying for the overall Canadian Car of the Year Award. Winners will announced on 13 February at the Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.

End of October 2008 Ajac car and truck of the year's contest was held near Niagara-on-the-Lake. Over 70 members participated in four days Ajac journalist back-to-back test evaluations, covering 59 individual products in 12 different categories. According to officials Ajaccio, the event was designed to provide Canadian consumers with sound, comparative information on vehicles that are new to the market.

In the event, Honda Accord Sedan EX compete against five other competitors in the category Family Car. The 2008 Honda Accord Coupe, powered with V6 engine that comes with 6-speed, on the other part, competing against two other finalists in the â € œBest New Sports / Performance Car Under $ 50,000 of a € category.

The new Honda Accord will feature a wider range of innovative technologies that are designed to offer greater efficiency, increase security, and greater power. The vehicle is equipped with an example expressive style, fun-to-drive performance and innovative packaging.

The 2008 Honda Accord will be available in sedan and coupe body styles. There will be two variants of a 2.4 L 4-cylinder engine and two iterations of the 3.5 L V-6 engine. With manual transmission, the two L4 engines produce 177 and 190 horsepower respectively. They estimated city / highway fuel economy ratings of 9.4/6.4 L/100km. On the other hand, the 3.5 L i-VTEC V-6 engine produces 268 horses. This engine is equipped with a more Advanced new generation of fuel-saving Variable Cylinder Management (TM) (VCM) technology, which will operate in six-cylinder power and 4 – and 3-mode cylinders for efficiency. Thus, the vehicle will be an estimated city / highway fuel economy rating of 11.0/6.7 L/100 km.

Changed the Honda Accord gets a bigger home to give € â € œequalâ seating comfort for front and rear passengers. It will also have more space for the rear legs and the width increased, the front seats that can be placed further away for a center wide.

The Accord Sedan is equipped with a longer wheelbase improved driving characteristics. It will also design the suspension of premiums and wider track, wider tire sizes, standard ABS and and Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) â € "to facilitate the improvement of driver confidence and handling performance.

Since Honda to provide comprehensive approach to vehicle safety, every 2008 Accord will be integrated with sophisticated security technology. It includes drivers € ™ if in front passenger € ™ s dual-chamber side airbags, side curtain airbags, dual stage, dual-threshold front passenger driver € ™ if € ™ s airbags and active head restraints designed to reduce neck injuries in rear-end collisions. Standard active safety features include VSA and four-wheel-disc anti-lock the brake system with brake assist and electronic brake distribution.

The 2008 agreement will be equipped with an Advanced Capability Engineering (TM) (ACE) the structure of the body to increase the compatibility of head-on collision with vehicles of different sizes and bumper heights.
