There is a wide range of credit cards frequent flyer to choose from that offer the opportunity to earn free flights or upgrades through a system premium airline. You can earn and redeem Qantas Frequent Flyer points on eligible Qantas and oneworld flights and fare types, you also earn Status Credits.
Your level of Qantas Frequent Flyer membership is recognized as equivalent to oneworld membership levels (in ascending order of Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald). Privileges are basic priority check-in, priority waitlist and preferred seating; higher levels of membership receive benefitrs as check-in desks, access to lounges irrespective of class of travel and priority boarding.
You will earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points every time you fly with Qantas, oneworld alliance and partner airlines, and with over 220 partners Qantas Frequent Flyer.
The money is in the air at the normal rate of 1 Qantas Frequent Flyer point per mile (1.609 kilometers) traveled on eligible flights Full Economy. With Status Bonus, however, you get bonus points: Silver earns 25% more points, Gold, 50%, and Platinum, 100% or double points. Each one eligible flight one-way, Qantas points from a minimum guarantee of 1,000 points when flying Qantas Economy or Premium Economy, and 1,250 points on Qantas Business or First.
Qantas Frequent Flyer also awards a Cabin Bonus (10% bonus for Premium Economy, 25% for companies, 50% for the first) on Qantas Business and First fares. Thus, each flight Qantas Frequent Flyer points you get extra in the form of a bonus cabin and was bonus.
You also earn Qantas Frequent Flyer points on car rentals, parking or shopping at Qantas car partners. The usual rate is 3 points per $ 1 spent in Australia and 700 points per rental outside Australia. With Qantas and Qantas Valet Parking Drive, you earn 5 points per $ 1 to 29 February 2008, and 3 points starting March 1.
Qantas Frequent Flyer has partner relationships with hotels, entertainment, providers of fashion, finance, business and insurance companies, duty free shops, various services, and real estate.
